Graduate Reading Room

Welcome to the new GSA general lounge/meeting space!

Thanks to a generous gift from the Provost’s Office as well as contributions from the library, the GSA now has a dedicated space (including a separate meeting room) for graduate students in the Pius XII Memorial Library. Construction commenced at the end of the 2020-21 academic year and finished just as summer ended, ready for a new school year.

FAQs: Where is it, is it locked, and when is it open?

The Graduate Reading Room is located in the Pius XII Memorial Library, Room 321. Please note that it is KEY CARD ACCESS ONLY, so be sure to bring your student ID to enter! It is accessible any time the library is open, so please check the library’s website before heading to campus.

FAQs: Can I reserve the meeting space?

You certainly can! The Graduate Reading Room contains a separate meeting room space, which can be reserved for graduate student uses such as study and/or reading groups, organizational meetings, or small social gatherings. To reserve the space, please check the Sheet below to see if anyone has reserved the space yet for the day/time you're interested in. Note: the sheet does not automatically sort responses, so be sure to check the column carefully to ensure your date has not already been reserved. Alternatively, you can click on the arrow in the upper right corner of the sheet to open the file and sort the column for easier viewing.
